Mussels Marinara for Easy Cooking
Ingredients
- 2 Pounds cultivated mussels
- 2 Cups marinara sauce
- 2 Tablespoons dry white wine
- 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
- Pinch of dried oregano
- Pinch od dried red pepper flakes
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Sliced Italian bread, preferably toasted in a broiler or on a grill, for serving
Directions
If using live mussels, dump into colander and rinse well. Any mussel that does not close (at least a little) when sprayed with water is no good and should be discarded.
